About Kabe

Kabe Termes was born in Deadwood, South Dakota in 1985 to world renowned artist Dick Termes and his very talented puppeteer wife, Markie Scholz. He spent much of his youth roaming the Black Hills National Forest located less than a mile from his boyhood home. His time spent in nature and an upbringing very much influenced by the fine arts led Kabe to discover a love and talent for photography at a young age. He pursued his talents throughout High School, serving as a the photo editor for both the yearbook and school paper.Kabe chose the University of Wyoming’s Journalism department to continue his education after High School.  He worked for the University’s school paper, The Branding Iron, all four years. After graduation Kabe took a job near his beloved Black Hills, working as an aerial photographer. Traveling by small aircraft and rental car, Kabe has spent the last several years traveling and contributing to the process of the ever changing world of global mapping.
The job has provided Kabe a unique opportunity to create images from all across the country and world. His ability to bring the world home through photography is shown throughout his work. Thank you for taking the time to look.  We hope you enjoy the images.
